And....THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY
Creative advertising can be frustrating. Sometimes you come up with ideas that you KNOW will sell product for your clients, but for one reason or another you are unable to convince them of this. The Lenda Murray-motorcycle advertisng poster above was one of these instances. Ted and Lisa at Valeo felt it was just a bit too risque at the time for their products and their customers. But that was some five or six years ago, the 90s is almost over, and after a decade of Madonna and Pam and Monica and Katarina Witt in Playboy the boundaries of "acceptability" have been pushed way back. Valeo would probably have had a great success with this ad...nonetheless it remains by favorite example of "the one that got away."
ANDREAS CAHLING ENTERPRISES
Andreas Cahling was a successful pro bodybuilder who after retiring from competition created a company to make and selling posing suits. His buisness now includes women's bikini's and sportswear, as well as an alternative to Pro Tan, the coloring used by the majority of bodybuilders and fitness competitors, called TAN NOW - which yields superior color and is somewhat easier to apply.
