OF XXX
These photos are from a work in progress, a book featuring pictures and in-depth interviews with actresses from the adult film industry - "porno chicks." In the past 20 years or so, X-rated videos have become a billion dollar business, with millions of tapes rented every week by individuals and, increasing, couples. Who are the women featured in these tapes? How did they get into the industry, how do they feel about what they do and what effect does having sex in full view of potentially millions of viewers have on their private lives, their romantic relationships and their personal sex lives?
"Women of XXX" will attempt to explore these questions, as well as to portray these women in a more appealing conventionally glamorous (non X-rated) style than they appear in the harsh reality of hardcore videos.
