ART PRINT GALLERY EXHIBITIONS
Samy's Camera, the leading pro photography store in Los Angeles, is currently exhibiting 26 gallery prints of Bill Dobbins' female physique photos. "We've recently moved to our new location at 431 S. Fairfax Avenue," says owner Samy Kamienowicz, "and the size of our new building gives us the space to showcase the work of outstanding photographers. I've seen Bill Dobbins develop as an artist over a period of many years, and I'm very please that we are able to share his work with our friends and customers."
Samy's Camera Fest 2000, was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center September 29th through October 1st, and featured more than a dozen nude figure studies of the muscular female physique by photographer Bill Dobbins. Dobbins gave a seminar on body photography at 3PM on Saturday, September 30th.
The photographs displayed will be featured in a new Bill Dobbins art photo book, scheduled to be published in the fall of 2001. Dobbins' previous photo book featuring female bodybuilding and fitness competitors - "The Women: Photographs of the Top Female Bodybuilder" (Artisan, NY 1995) - has sold 50,000 copies world wide to date.
